Frequently asked questions.

Do i have to be in shape to start personal training?

Nope. I’ve worked with clients of every level, age, and ability. And I’m confident you’ll do great!

Who needs to strength train?

Everyone.

Male, female, old, young—ALL OF US. No matter what your fitness history is (or lack of one), we all need a strength-building routine of some sort. Personal training will help you on your way to long-term health and improved quality of life.

IS 30 MINUTES LONG ENOUGH TO SEE RESULTS?

Absolutely. In a focused, intentional 30 minute strength training session, you will find:
- It’s perfect for busy schedules.
- Lower cost.
- I design a clear and purposeful fitness program for you. We will not be wasting time.
- You can still meet your fitness goals: improve your overall fitness, lose weight, gain strength, etc.
- You will walk away feeling like a rock star!

how many sessions should I do a week?

I’d recommend 2-4 times per week. The number of times per week that we meet will depend on your goals, your budget, and your schedule.

WHAT HOURS DO YOU TRAIN CLIENTS?

I work mornings and early afternoons. In general, 8:30 am - 12:00 pm. ** If these times do not work for you, please contact me and we will try to work something out.

wait… is this crossfit?

Nope. Although I owned and operated a CrossFit affiliate and personally did CrossFit for 13 years, I’m going back to my roots in traditional strength training and cardiovascular physical activity.

what about cardio?

If desired, I will give you weekly cardio/physical activity “homework”. It will be very doable and something you even enjoy! It will be unique for everyone and appropriate for you to meet your fitness goals.

WHAT ABOUT NUTRITION?

NUTRITION MATTERS. I will give general guidelines and we can go more into depth if desired.

To get the full package and one-on-one attention, you might want to consider hiring a qualified nutrition expert. Mount Olympus has one in house! Click here to contact Amanda Sandoval about her nutrition services. She’s the real deal: macros, meal plans, weekly check-ins, and more.

Do I have to be a member of Mount OlYMPus to train with you?

Yes. Click HERE to contact Michael Derek Sandoval to inquire.

Mount Olympus is THE PLACE to come in Uvalde if you want a quiet, clean, welcoming workout environment that is never overly crowed. Whether you are a beginner or you are an experienced fitness enthusiast, you will feel right at home in our facility.

Bonus: It’s a 24-hour gym and — wait for it — has A/C!

Do I sign a contract?

Nope. We establish what you’re looking for, then pick a time that works for you. We will take it week by week and make sure you get your training in.

What if I have to cancel?

I ask for 24 hour notice if you need to cancel.

how do i pay?

Payment is due at the beginning of the week, or at your first session of the week. I bill week to week (and will make alternate arrangements if you prefer). I accept cash and check only.
